On November 18th 2014, SIES held the 6th Shanghai Youth Forum for European Studies in the Shanghai Hall of Social Sciences. On this forum, the 2014 Prizes for Excellent Papers of Youth were issued and academic discussions were made with a focus on the papers that won the prizes. In addition to the prize-winning authors, over 40 professors and students from the East China Normal University, the East China University of Technology, the Fudan University, the Shanghai International Studies University, the Tongji University, the Shanghai Institute of International Studies, and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences participated in this forum. It is also attended by the leaders of SIES, such as Prof. Xu Mingqi, Prof. Wu Yikang, Prof. Yang Fengmin, Prof. Zhang Zuqian, Dr. Cao Ziheng, and Prof. Pan Xingming, and the leaders of the Shanghai Federation of Social Sciences, such as Vice Director Liang Yuguo, who awarded the certificates of prize to those authors who won the prizes. SIES president Prof. Xu Mingqi and Vice Director Mr. Liang Yuguo addressed this forum. The prize-awarding ceremony and the discussions were presided by forum coordinator Dr. Yang Haifeng, Dr. Fang Xiao of the Shanghai Institute of International Studies, and Dr. Zang Shumei from the East China Normal University.
