On 5 July 2026, the European Session of the 2026 Strategic Planning and Cultural Empowerment Symposium for Enterprises Going Global, themed "Inter-Civilization Exchange and Mutual Learning for Win-Win Cooperation", was held at the Putuo Campus of East China Normal University. The symposium was hosted by the School of Foreign Languages, the Institute for Area Studies, and the Laboratory for Geopolitical Environment Simulation, Monitoring and Early Warning of Neighboring Countries at East China Normal University; co-hosted by the Shanghai Institute for Area Studies, the Shanghai Institute for European Studies, the German Studies Center at Tongji University, the Center for Spanish-Speaking Language and Culture Studies, and the Regional Culture Studies Committee of the China Association for Comparative Studies of Chinese and Foreign Languages and Cultures; organized by the Center for China-Europe Inter-Civilization Exchange Studies, the Center for Global Dissemination of Laozi Thought, and the Returned Overseas Chinese Federation at East China Normal University; and supported by the Shanghai Returned Overseas Chinese Federation and the Committee on International Economic and Technical Cooperation of the China International Investment Promotion Association.
