On 25 June 2026, the Shanghai Institute for European Studies (SIES) convened a Council meeting. A Party Working Group meeting was held prior to the Council meeting. President Ding Chun chaired the Council meeting. The meeting reviewed the Call for Papers for the 15th Shanghai Youth Forum on European Studies and discussed matters including the themes for submissions. The meeting invited Dr. Yan Shaohua, Director of the International Exchange Department, Dr. Long Jing, Deputy Secretary-General, and Dr. Dai Yichen, Council Member, to deliver situational analyses on China-EU relations, economic and trade frictions, and the post-election situation and policy trends in Hungary.
