On October 18 -19, 2025, the 2025 Annual Conference of the Chinese Association for European Studies was grandly convened at Tongji University. Over a hundred experts, scholars and young academics across the nation gathered to reflect upon five decades of mutually beneficial Sino-European relations and to envision a new future that benefits the world. This conference was jointly organized by the Chinese Association for European Studies and Tongji University, with the event hosted by Tongji University's Institute for German and European Studies and German Studies Center of Tongji University, alongside the SIES. The event was further supported by Tongji University's Center for Sino-German Cultural Exchange and the editorial office of Tongji University's Journal of Deutschland-Studien.
