On September 11, 2025, the Shanghai Institute for European Studies (SIES), the China Center for International Economic Exchanges Shanghai Branch, and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Shanghai Representative Office jointly organized the international symposium on "International Trade in the Era of Geo-Economics—Challenges and Sustainable Pathways" at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. Wang Zhan, Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges Shanghai Branch; Benjamin Reichenbach, Chief Representative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Shanghai Representative Office; and Ding Chun, President of SIES, delivered opening remarks.
