On April 27, 2025, Shanghai Institute of European Studies (SIES) organized a symposium titled "The Future of European Security." Keynote speakers included Ambassador Thomas Greminger, Executive Director of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, and Daniel Gros, Director of the European Decision-Making Institute at Bocconi University. SIES President Prof. Chun Ding delivered the welcome remarks. Attendees also included Jean-Marc Rickli (Head of Global and Emerging Risks, Geneva Centre for Security Policy), Lind’a Maduz (Head of Asian Affairs, Geneva Centre for Security Policy), Maxime Stauffer (Co-founder & CEO of Simon Institute for Longterm Governance), and Dai Yichen, Jian Junbo, Jiang Tianjiao, Long Jing, Men Jing, Wu Huiping, Xu Mingqi, Xue Sheng, Yang Haifeng, Yang Zhengzhen, Yao Xu, and Zhu Yichen.
